Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Thanos Academy collects from students and instructors, why we collect it, and the choices you have over it.

Name, email, and password when you register. On your profile page, you can add your phone number, gender, address and a profile picture. Instructors additionally provide biography, , and payout details such as bank account or payout email.

Course progress, lesson completion, quiz results, wishlist activity, and search queries, so we can show your progress and recommend relevant courses.

Payments are handled by Paystack. We receive confirmation of a successful or failed payment and a transaction reference. We don't receive or store your full card number.

IP address, browser type, and access timestamps, used for security, fraud prevention, and diagnosing platform issues.

We share data with the processors that run the platform: Paystack for payments, Cloudinary for storing course media, and our email delivery provider for transactional email. Each is bound to use your data only to provide that service.

An instructor can see the name and progress of students enrolled in their own course, along with any review a student leaves. They cannot see your email, phone number, or payment details.

We don't sell personal data to third parties, and we don't share it for third-party advertising.

We keep account and enrollment data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion sooner, as described below.

You can view and update most account details directly from your profile settings. For anything you can't change yourself, contact us and we'll help.

You can request deletion of your account and personal data. We'll retain the minimum records required by law, such as payment records for tax purposes.

You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email. You'll still receive essential account and transaction email.

Passwords are hashed, session tokens are stored in httpOnly cookies, and payment data never touches our servers directly. No system is completely secure, and we encourage using a strong, unique password.

Thanos Academy is built with secondary school, university entrance exams and undergraduate studnents in mind. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian should review this policy with you and handle any payments on your behalf.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We'll post the new effective date at the top of this page, and notify you directly of material changes.
